Rejoicing with the angels

“I didn’t really understand much of what I was reading, but a few days later, other Christians came to my house. They sat next to me and explained Jesus's sacrifice for my sins. We began to pray together for my repentance. Despite my young age, I knew what I had done and how I had lived during those 14 years, so I asked Jesus to forgive my sins. That was the moment when my walk with God began.”

He added, “I see my work for the Mission as a ministry. Many of the people we work with have no hope, no vision for their future, and no peace. Their lives are hard, and they live in the reality of this day by day. That is why it’s so important that they receive emotional and spiritual support and love. This builds a good relationship and leads us to share our problems together, to pray together.

“When a person accepts Christ as their Saviour, I rejoice with the angels in heaven. I continue to stay close to them, discipling them, and I have so much joy seeing God's work in their lives.

“In the Hristovi family, the father, Andrey, had a gambling addiction, and this caused big problems in the family. The good thing was that he recognised his weakness and spoke openly about his addiction. We talked, prayed, and fasted for his soul and God heard our prayers and changed his heart. The family's life turned around 180 degrees. Now Andrey has a stable job, attends church regularly with his wife, was baptised, and has officially married his wife.

“A woman from another sponsored family, Nelly, struggled to get along with her mother-in- law. After lots of conversations, prayer and Christian gatherings, she said to me one day, ‘I love my mother-in-law! She curses and scolds me, but Jesus teaches us to love. He’s given me love for her!’ She cried in front of the whole congregation, and testified to the other families about the change that had taken place in her life after she came to know God.

“I want to encourage everyone who gives their money to support the work of Mission Without Borders with the words of 1 Corinthians 15:58, ‘Your labor in the Lord is not in vain.’”
